Kevin Coughlin's new aerial photography business website, FLYINGDOGPHOTOS.COM is now up and running.

"It had to be perfect", said Coughlin, "before putting it live on the web. I wanted only the best looking site available as first impressions are everything...It was WELL worth the wait."

Flying Dog Photos is the aerial photography division of Coughlin's agency, Photostation Images LLC. According to the website: "Flying Dog Photos provides state-of-the-art still and video imagery utilizing very stable high-wing, slow-flying Cessna aircraft. Whether your needs are for commercial or residential real estate, editorial, television commercials, feature films, public relations, stadiums/arenas, government contracts, landmarks, buildings, progress reports or advertising purposes, we can help you achieve breath-taking results that you and your clients can be proud of. "

Partnering up with Mr. Coughlin is fellow pilot and visual journalist/director of photography Michael S. De Mita.

DeMita's bio on the new website states: "Michael S. De Mita is an accomplished pilot and visual journalist in his own right. Having logged hundreds of hours in his own Cessna 150 Aerobat, he is well-trained and equipped to conquer any visual challenge from above. As a former videographer for CNN and Fox News in New York, Mike has won 2 Emmy Awards for his videography and directed dozens of commercials and several independent films on his own."

The new company even has its own Facebook and Twitter pages. They assure prospective clients that they can meet or exceed their aerial imaging expectation without breaking their budget. "Hiring a helicopter can cost $1,500 an hour or more." says Coughlin. "Flying Dog Photos charges only a fraction of that - as much as 75% less, so we really are a bargain. We use stable, slow-flying, high-winged Cessna 150's, 152's and 172's with great success, might I add."

Flying Dog Photos is based out of Long Island's Republic Airport in Farmingdale, NY and services the Long Island, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas. Coughlin adds: "If the job is worth the travel, we will provide service for the entire North East."

Moving in New Directions

"Life is a journey...enjoy the ride!" is how Lenny Dykstra often signed off the ghost-written columns he presented as his own in his promising, yet failed venture, The Players Club magazine.

For nearly a year, I have dedicated 39 posts on this blog to document the demise of one of baseball's most popular figures of the 1980's and 90's.

It was not my intent to maliciously hammer Nails (no pun, please), but to make aware the facts surrounding his method of operation from what I witnessed. I have no regrets as I have been contacted by numerous individuals who have become his victims. One Connecticut woman emailed me last summer and told me her college-aged daughter was interested in a position working as Dykstra's personal assistant. I gave the mother my advice, which she relayed to her daughter in California, but the young lady decided to pursue the interview nonetheless. Here is the email the mother sent me shortly afterwards:

"Thank you for your immediate help. Disaster averted. My daughter went on the interview for the experience of it all. She called the interview very unprofessional. Lenny was on the phone drinking beer and then rudely told this woman to get her out and reschedule my daughter to come back again to interview. My daughter says she will not. She thinks that there is something wrong with him ...like a boxer who got hit in the head a few too many times. Your article and concern persuaded her to look elsewhere for employment. I also appreciated you making Ms. (name deleted) aware of my situation. She was very informative and passionate about her distaste, rightfully so, for Mr. Lenny Dykstra. Going on the interview with the knowledge under her belt of his major shortcomings helped her to see beyond the big number and make the best decision. Like you say, "Run as fast as you can!"

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU."

I need to remind myself this is "The Kevin Coughlin Show & Tell" and not the "Lenny Dysktra Crash and Burn Chronicles". From time to time, I may break a Dykstra blip here and there, but going forward, I shall concentrate mostly on matters that affect me on professional and personal matters. I want to thank everyone who has visited this blog, especially journalists from the mainstream media who have picked up news items broken here and expanded them to an even greater audience.

If I've helped one person, then this blog was worth it.
